We spend 3 nights and 4 days here it was by the best place I have been. My kids loved it the view of the lake is beautiful! The owners were so sweet as well as the people that live close by we couldn't have picked a better place thank you for eveything. Houses were updated and painted it's beautiful, they were clean and had pots, pans, everything all we brought was our food and fished gear. Thanks again we will be returning.
My family and I have been coming to Black Rock Cottages for 15 years. Our most recent visit was 09/29/2017 and 09/30/2017. All was going well until we had to go get toilet paper from the office. We had walked down with our little dog and was told that we could not have our pet at the cabins. I told the owner that we had been coming here all these years with our pet and they had always been pet friendly. Also why was I not told that When I made the reservation several months back. She said she had failed to tell me. There was several orher guest who had pets. I guess she didnt tell them either. I told her she could give us our money back and we would go some place eles. She just said that next time we cant bring them. And as far as the other guest who have pets they will be on her black list. I told her that there will not be a next time. She said okay fine that she has lost alot of guest but this is the way it is because she cant wash the comforters. Im assuming they dont wash them after each guest. The crazy thing is. We had been all over walking our dog for two days and no one said anything until our last nite here.
They have lost my families business after coming here all these years.
This place was always a place to relax but it is not worth the $100 dollars a nite anymore. No toilet paper in rooms. Had to go to office because there was no garbage can in room. Floor needed to be swept. They claim they are fixing them up. I dont see that...and she said she will be going up to $125 next year.
Such amazing/well furnished cottages right next to the lake. The hosts were so sweet and inviting. Definitely looking towards to booking my next visit.
The owners and caretakers of Black Rock Cottages are top notch. A beautiful lakeside atmosphere coupled with attention to detail and comfortable amenities. Highly recommend!
We came up to the cabins and although it rained the entire time it was still peaceful and beautiful.we loved it and will certainly be going back during better weather.
